I have many Atheist friends, but some times I would love to smack a handful that I don't know. They hate on organized religion to the point you do want to strangle them. Like in this Article about an Atheist sign from Olympia. I live in Washington State now, only about 30 minutes from the Capital and I was like what the fuck is this crap.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/LIVING/12/05/atheists.christmas/index.html

One why post that damn little sign during the holiday seasons to begin with? Why, and two Winter Solstice is from religion itself. Druidism, Paganism all those little religions that were around before Christianity came into view 2000 years ago. Though I can understand them using it instead of something like Happy Holidays. But they should've put Happy Holidays I mean Wal-Mart has to say Hallpy Holidays because of those morons saying Christmas is a religion based holiday. All holidays are religion based, Christmas, Solstice, Channaka, ETC.

The sign could have been nicer too, and these morons are acting like those high-ho religious people that go door to door trying to sell their religion on you to begin with. Why are atheists so spiteful about what others believe in. I believe in the GODS, yes gods. I don't believe one god could create this entire world in six days and rest on the seventh. I believe what the ancient Greeks, Romans, Celts believed in. And if you wanna know something, the only reason Christmas is even on this month wa to allow the Christians to celebrate and convert.

Everything involving Christmas is Pagan oriented, but mot people don't realize such things due to thinking what I believe in is Devil worshipping and it's not. But I'm not going into this kinda shit. I told myself I wouldn't talk about the links of religions unless something really pissed me off.

Back on the topic, this sign is a shithole. Why create angst and a barrier with all other religions, this is a time to celebrate what we all have in common loved one and family. Not to down our beliefs. I believe Christmas is a holiday not to celebrate the birth of Jesus, since technically he was born in September or that's what people are believing. But to celebrate our good life with family and friends and spoil our children and everyone else in our life. It's not to cause strife, especially during this stupid Recession we're in.

Another thing in this article, why try and remove all the happy go lucky religious things from the town square? That basically is like stealing the joy out of the holidays. The lights and the like, that's what Christmas is about walking around while shopping and looking at all the religious holiday objects lying around in your path. It's not there to convert you, but to show people have many beliefs and we can actually be a whole than apart.

That is all the ranting I'll do over this before I go a little too far. Adios!

So the Grammy Nominations look like pure shit to me. Coldplay is a good band no doubt about it, but sever nominations? They're a bit overrated and I know their fanbase is great, but still other bands out there are better IMO. I don't like amitting this but half the damn list I don't even know half of these people whatsoever.

I'll go down the list which I'm just taking from the website itself.

Category 1

Record Of The Year
(Award to the Artist and to the Producer(s), Recording Engineer(s) and/or Mixer(s), if other than the artist.)

  • Chasing Pavements
    Adele
Eg White, producer; Tom Elmhirst & Steve Price, engineers/mixers
    Track from: 19
    [XL Recordings/Columbia]

  • Viva La Vida
    Coldplay
Markus Dravs, Brian Eno & Rik Simpson, producers; Michael Brauer & Rik Simpson, engineers/mixers
Track from: Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends
    [Capitol Records]

  • Bleeding Love
    Leona Lewis
Simon Cowell, Clive Davis & Ryan "Alias" Tedder, producers; Craig Durrance, Phil Tan & Ryan "Alias" Tedder, engineers/mixers
    [J Records/SYCO Music]

  • Paper Planes
    M.I.A
    Diplo, producer; Switch, engineer/mixer
    Track from: Kala
    [Interscope]

  • Please Read The Letter
    Robert Plant & Alison Krauss
T Bone Burnett, producer; Mike Piersante, engineer/mixer
    Track from: Raising Sand
    [Rounder]
What the fuck is this shit? I only know M.I.A and Coldplay the others are are you kidding me? I'm sorry there have been better records then these hovering around but that's my opinion.

Category 2

Album Of The Year
(Award to the Artist(s) and to the Album Producer(s), Recording Engineer(s)/Mixer(s) & Mastering Engineer(s), if other than the artist.)

  • Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends

Markus Dravs, Brian Eno & Rik Simpson, producers; Michael H. Brauer, Markus Dravs, John O'Mahoney, Rik Simpson & Andy Wallace, engineers/mixers; Bob Ludwig, mastering engineer
    [Capitol Records]

  • Tha Carter III
    Lil Wayne
Babyface, Brisco, Fabolous, Jay-Z, Kidd Kidd, Busta Rhymes, Juelz Santana, D. Smith, Static Major, T-Pain & Bobby Valentino, featured artists; Alchemist, David Banner, Vaushaun "Maestro" Brooks, Cool & Dre, Andrews "Drew" Correa, Shondrae "Mr. Bangladesh" Crawford, Darius "Deezle" Harrison, Jim Jonsin, Mousa, Pro Jay, Rodnae, Skillz & Play, D. • In Rainbows
    Radiohead
Nigel Godrich, producer; Nigel Godrich, Dan Grech-Marguerat, Hugo Nicolson & Richard Woodcraft, engineers/mixers; Bob Ludwig, mastering engineer
    [TBD Records]
Now this one looks better to me. I can actually see majority of these nominations winning though I still don't know who the hel Robert Plant and Alison Krauss is. Coldplay most likely will win though, obviously my bet is Coldplay will win half their nominated slots.

Category 3

Track from: Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends
[Capitol Records; Publishers: Universal Music-MGB Songs]
Very disappointed in this category just because it's a WTF in your face again. Obviously they made this list to make it look good so Coldplay would win. But hey you never know it just looks like shit to me any which way.

Category 4

Best New Artist
(For a new artist who releases, during the Eligibility Year, the first recording which establishes the public identity of that artist.)

  • Adele

  • Duffy

  • Jonas Brothers

  • Lady Antebellum

  • Jazmine Sullivan
Basically hate ALL of them, except Duffy. I actually Hope Duffy wins this category. She's the best out of the list to me. Jonas Brothers, please the only fanbase I know they have are little tween/teen girls that can't get enough of them.

Category 5

Best Female Pop Vocal Performance
(For a solo vocal performance. Singles or Tracks only.)

  • Chasing Pavements
    Adele
    Track from: 19
    [Columbia/XL]

  • Bleeding Love
    Leona Lewis
    [J Records/SYCO Music]

  • I Kissed A Girl
    Katy Perry
Track from: One Of The Boys
    [Capitol Records]

  • So What
    Pink
    [LaFace]
I like this set up, though I'm rooting for Pink or Duffy to win this one. I love So What by Pink and Nercy is the greastest. The only song I dispise in this one is I kissed a Girl, just for the fact it's just the lamest thing in the world and it appears all the Teen girls are going wannabe lesbian on people from this song. Worse than it usually is.

Category 6

Best Male Pop Vocal Performance
(For a solo vocal performance. Singles or Tracks only.)

  • All Summer Long
    Kid Rock
Track from: Rock N Roll Jesus
    [Atlantic]

  • Say
    John Mayer
    Track from: Continuum
    [Columbia]

  • That Was Me
    Paul McCartney
    Track from: Amoeba's Secret
    [Hear Music/MPL Communications Ltd.]

  • I'm Yours
    Jason Mraz
Track from: We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.
    [Atlantic]

  • Closer
    Ne-Yo
Track from: Year Of The Gentleman
    [Def Jam/Compound Entertainment]

  • Wichita Lineman
    James Taylor
    Track from: Covers
    [Hear Music]
I like them all have no complaints to this one shockingly enough.
(And so I'm skipping ahead of the list for the fact it's so HUGE)

Category 8

Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals
(For a collaborative performance, with vocals, by artists who do not normally perform together. Singles or Tracks only.)

  • Lesson Learned
    Alicia Keys & John Mayer
    Track from: As I Am

    Madonna, Justin Timberlake & Timbaland

    [Warner Bros.]

    Robert Plant & Alison Krauss
    Track from: Raising Sand
    [Rounder]

  • If I Never See Your Face Again
    Rihanna & Maroon 5
Track from: Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded
    [Def Jam]

  • No Air
    Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown
    Track from: Jordin Sparks
    [Jive]
I'm hoping 4 minutes wins it's catchy different and I just like it.
(skipping some more)

Category 15

Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance
(For a solo vocal performance. Singles or Tracks only.)

  • Gravity
    John Mayer
Track from: Where The Light Is — Live In Los Angeles
    [Columbia]

  • I Saw Her Standing There
    Paul McCartney
    Track from: Amoeba's Secret
    [Hear Music/MPL Communications Ltd.]

    [Columbia]

  • Rise
    Eddie Vedder
    [J Records]

  • No Hidden Path
    Neil Young
    Track from: Chrome Dreams II
    [Reprise]
This is embarrassing to say but I hope to the Gods Bruce Sprinstein wins. I just love his work. All of the artists here are good, real good. But I just prefer Springstein over the others.

Now to my favorite sections of the nominations.

Category 17

Best Hard Rock Performance
(For solo, duo, group or collaborative performances, with vocals. Singles or Tracks only.)

  • Inside The Fire
    Disturbed
    Track from: Indestructible
    [Reprise]

  • Visions
    Judas Priest
    Track from: Nostradamus
    [Epic]

  • Wax Simulacra
    The Mars Volta
    [Universal Motown]

  • Saints Of Los Angeles
    Mötley Crüe
Track from: Saints Of Los Angeles
    [Motley Records/Eleven Seven Music]

  • Lords Of Salem
    Rob Zombie
    Track from: Zombie Live
    [Geffen/UMe]
LOVE IT! Just down right love it. Don't know who The Mars Volta is, but knowing me I'll go look their music up and download it. I'm a BIG Disturbed fan and it's about damn time they finally got a nomination after all these years. But they have their hands fulls trying to beat Motley Crue and Rob Zombie, which are another favorites of mine. Judas Priests could win completely as well. This one could go to anyone instantly.

Category 18

Best Metal Performance
(For solo, duo, group or collaborative performances, with vocals. Singles or Tracks only.)

  • Heroes Of Our Time
    DragonForce
    [Roadrunner Records]

  • Nostradamus
    Judas Priest
    Track from: Nostradamus
    [Epic]

  • My Apocalypse
    Metallica
    Track from: Death Magnetic
    [Warner Bros.]

  • Under My Thumb
    Ministry
    Track from: Cover Up
    [Megaforce Records]

  • Psychosocial
    Slipknot
    [Roadrunner Records]
I'm sorry to say but DragonForce will most likely win. This song is too popular over the Guitar hero/Rock Band geeks like myself to lose. Would be surprised if they lost. All the bands though are great nothing wrong with this slot either thankfully enough.

Category 19

Best Rock Instrumental Performance
(For solo, duo, group or collaborative performances, without vocals. Includes Rock, Hard Rock and Metal. Singles or Tracks only.)

  • Castellorizon
    David Gilmour
    Track from: Live In Gdansk
    [Columbia]

  • Suicide & Redemption
    Metallica
    Track from: Death Magnetic
    [Warner Bros.]

  • 34 Ghosts I-IV
    Nine Inch Nails
    Track from: Ghosts I-IV
    [The Null Corporation]

    Rush
Track from: Songs For Tibet: The Art Of Peace
    [Art of Peace Foundation]

  • Peaches En Regalia
    Zappa Plays Zappa
    [Strobosonic/Razor & Tie Entertainment]
NIN... all the way hopefully. This group has interesting picks but nothing too drastic to be pissed off about.

Category 20

Best Rock Song
(A Songwriter(s) Award. Includes Rock, Hard Rock & Metal songs. For Song Eligibility Guidelines see Category #3. (Artist names appear in parentheses.) Singles or Tracks only.)

  • Girls In Their Summer Clothes
    Bruce Springsteen, songwriter (Bruce Springsteen)
    Track from: Magic
    [Columbia; Publisher: Bruce Springsteen]

Benjamin Gibbard, Nicholas Harmer, Jason McGerr & Christopher Walla, songwriters (Death Cab For Cutie)

  • Sex On Fire
Caleb Followill, Jared Followill, Matthew Followill & Nathan Followill, songwriters (Kings Of Leon)
[RCA Records; Publishers: Martha Street Music/Songs of Combustion Music/Music of Windswept, Followill Music/Songs of Combustion Music/Music of Windswept, McFearless Music/Bug Music, Coffee, Tea or Me Publishing/Bug Music]

  • Violet Hill
Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion & Chris Martin, songwriters (Coldplay)
Track from: Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends
[Capitol Records; Publisher: Universal Music-MGB Songs]
I don't like this category. It just screams Coldplay wins category.

Now I'm not even going to bother listing rap/R&B All I will say is I'm not a big fan of this genre of music but some of them are catchy and I like the beat not the lyrics. Most lyrics in rap put women down IMO but that's just me. I'm not a fan of it but I don't hate it. Let's just say it'll bee interesting to see who wins in this area. I like most of them in some shape or form depending on my mood and how good the beat is to keep me interested.

Country isn't my thing either. Faith hill and Dixie chicks are the only thing of country I will listen to. and it's long and this has been dragged out too far to begin with. I'm disappointed in some of the nominations but mainly due to not knowing who half these people are to care about.

Field 20 — Comedy

Category 80

Best Comedy Album
(For comedy recordings, spoken or musical)

  • Anticipation
    Lewis Black
    [Comedy Central Records]

  • Flight Of The Conchords
    Flight Of The Conchords
    [Sub Pop]

  • For Your Consideration
    Kathy Griffin
    [Columbia/Music With A Twist]

  • It's Bad For Ya
    George Carlin
    [Eardrum Records]

  • Songs Of The Bushmen
    Harry Shearer
    [Courgette Records]
I love this category, just because it's comedy who doesn't like comedy. This list just rules. All of them are great, but I am hoping for George Carlin to win it. May he RIP, boy I'm going to miss him greatly. Or Lewis Black since that album was hilarious.

Field 22 — Film/TV/Visual Media

Category 82

Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media
(Award to the Artist(s) and/or Producer(s) of a majority of the tracks on the album, or to the individual(s) actively responsible for the concept and musical direction and for the selection of artists, songs and producers, as applicable.)

  • American Gangster
    (Various Artists)
    [Def Jam]

  • August Rush
    (Various Artists)
    [Columbia/Sony Music Soundtrax]

  • Juno
    (Various Artists)
    [Fox Music/Rhino]

  • Mamma Mia!
    Meryl Streep (& Various Artists)
    [Decca Records]

  • Sweeney Todd — The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street
    (Various Artists)
    [Nonesuch Records]
Never heard Juno's soundtrack, so I'll stick to the ones I know. Amercian Gangster was a good one, so was Augush Rush. Sweeny Todd was good music but the movie was a little too predictible.

Category 83

Best Score Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media
(Award to Composer(s) for an original score created specifically for, or as a companion to, a current legitimate motion picture, television show or series or other visual media.)

  • The Dark Knight

  • Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
    John Williams, composer

    Ramin Djawadi, composer
    [Lionsgate]

  • There Will Be Blood
    Jonny Greenwood, composer
    [Nonesuch Records]

  • Wall-E
    Thomas Newman, composer
    [Walt Disney Records/Pixar]
Again all excellent though Dark Night or Iron Man will the the two I will be routing for.

Anyways the list goes on and on.... if you want to see it for yourself and see what your ideals on the list is here's the link: http://content.grammy.com/Grammy_Awards/51st_show/list.aspx#05

So as the title says, this Big 3 bailout is the biggest joke I've ever fucking seen in my life. First we bailout the entire financial industry, but now we have to bailout the 3 American car industries for their own faults? HA! It's their own doing not making better fuel efficient cars. They only want to make those damn gas guzzlers that are only like 27 miles per gallon on the highway or worse. It's pathetic how us, the taxpayers, have to bailout these morons for not thinking correctly.

Why should WE have to bail them out for their own faults? It's not our fault we, the people, prefer better cars that have better gas mileage during these times where we saw 4.25 a gallon for regular unleaded gas. You don't see honda, Toyota, Kia, etc asking for a bailout do you? Of course not because they are making the money to survive. Maybe this should be a HUGE hint to the Big 3, make better cars and people will come. Seriously it's already pathetic we had to bailout the morons of the financial industry, but do we really have to bailout the car industry too for their faults? Do we?

I'm starting to think our money is going to the dumbest things. If the Senate and House were all that smart in the head, maybe they should let the taxpayers be bailed out instead. Give us all a million dollars to do as we please. It's our money to begin with, the government is just being frivolous about it. Why not let us be Frivolous with our own money? Let us pay off our debt, buy new fancy cars or two (Hell people may even go buy from the Big 3 out of pity), buy a house, buy land, but clothes, buy anything that we want to buy. It would spike the DOW up, even if it's for a little while.

But also Christmas this year wouldn't look like shit due to all of us in this country suffering from being laid off or hours cut in half due to the Recession. This recession is not our doing, but the fact Bush brought MANY of our jobs to China. Then there's the people are freaking out so badly they don't want to shop in which makes the workers suffer with having hours cut. It all stems down to the government first then to us. Anyways, why don't you fucking, government officials, bail us out instead of the businesses? We pay for the business to live or die, and it looks like we rather have the big 3 die since they need to be bailed out. At least I think the Big 3 should die off, it's their own fault in my opinion.

You would think people would care about animals better than this. It annoys me to high hell that people, working for the meat industry, would abuse an animal just because it's going to die. Don't get me wrong, I'm a meat eater and always will be. But that doesn't mean I won't take a stand against this kind of twisted thoughtless act against animals. I was scrolling through youtube, and ran across Serj Tankian's petition against KFC. Petition found here

I worked this this company for two years, you would be surprised how disgusting the work place truly is if you worked there. Especially when your own crew members are too lazy to do a thorough job of cleaning their stations.

Anyways, back to the topic at hand... even though the animal is going to die anyways doesn't mean to torture them while they're still alive; or during the slaughtering process. It's inhumane and as the petition says, if it were a dog or cat these fuckers would get a felony charge slapped onto their god damn ass. My uncle own a slaughter house around here, and he has never done such things to the poor animals.

IMO, if the person abuses the animals at work think about what he probably does at home. Common knowledge will tell you most people that do such things are abusers to animals and people. I'm one not to even wear leather period, due to how animals are abused. Cotton all the way, I'm like a hippy wearing flip flops all the time and such. It's hilarious to see.

Now don't get me wrong I'm not a PETA radical, which is dumb too since they provide their own violence to the people that wear furs etc, which is very ignorant. If you want your word out, don't go doing what they do, attacking innocent people that wear what other companies made. Like these people know what truly happens, seriously.

And this my friends is my rant of the night. Don't abuse animals even if they are going to be slaughtered, it's just wrong.

Sooo, I had nothing else better to do with my time. My six month old is a bit sick, finally was able to put him to sleep, but I can't go back to sleep myself. It's such a pain when you finally have everyone settled down and you can't settle down yourself. So I decided to make a LJ account, it's been a few years since I've been really up into blogging and whatnot. My last account was pretty fun. Hopefully I can remember to post here often enough to care.

Usually in my spare time, while not taking care of my kids, I'm up into Advent of the Mists, this awesome MUD even for Alpha it's pretty awesome and worth checking out for all that MUD.

My night is dull right now, I'm wide awake from restlessness and it's killing me to high hell. I just want to go to bed, I have things I -have- to do tomorrow and it looks like I won't wake up in the morning to do so. But my son's health is far more important than sleep and errands that can be held off.

Almost forgot, this chick ( http://youtube.com/user/KyoraMishiso ) on YouTube just rules with ID (Intelligent Design). She's just the best. I'm on YouTube, but I don't post videos. Don't own a camera for one, and the other I hate showing my face. But I do favorite people a lot, especially if I like them.

I'll probably start my rantings soon, I have many I'm passionate about.
